Arena Aviation Capital has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of 10 Airbus A321-200 aircraft, operated by Vietnam Airlines.
The aircraft, purchased from Vietnam Aircraft Leasing (VALC), represents Arena's single largest transaction since its launch in 2013.
“It was immensely challenging at times; with cultural and structural complexities we had not experienced before,” said Arena chief commercial officer Erik Dahmen. "Having our local presence and legal support, very familiar with the Southeast Asia business culture, was key to this success.”
“I could not be prouder of the way my team kept pushing this transaction forward, despite the ever-increasing time pressure and drain on company resources," said Arena CEO Patrick den Elzen. "I am also grateful to our new airline customer, Vietnam Airlines, whose professionalism, and flexibility were instrumental in this process.”
