Arajet signs PBH agreement with AJW Group for its 737 MAX fleet

Arajet has signed a power-by-the-hour (PBH) component support agreement with AJW Group. Arajet is a new flagship airline of the Dominican Republic. AJW says that the PBH agreement will cover Arajet’s expanding fleet of Boeing 737 MAX with the world-renowned flight hour support program, tailored to the airline’s needs guaranteeing the supply, repair, and overhaul of rotable components, underpinned by AJW’s global inventory of Boeing 737 MAX spares.

Garret Malone, Chief Operating Officer of Arajet, said: “At Arajet we are committed to providing our customers with a safe, reliable, and efficient travel experience. Our partnership with AJW gives us assurance and cost alignment underpinning safety, flight efficiency, and on-time performance allowing us to focus on achieving our rapid growth plans safe in the knowledge that their experienced team will keep our fleet running effectively and efficiently.”

Christopher Whiteside, Chairman of AJW Group, said: “We are delighted to announce this power-by-the-hour contract with Arajet S.A. who place the utmost importance on the regularity of services and on-time performance, values we share. This contract echoes the recent expansion of our services in Latin America and follows hotly on the heels of a 10-year PBH support contract with Chilean ultra-low-cost carrier JetSMART Airlines SpA in June.”
