Arajet announced a new international route connecting Santo Domingo Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) with Toronto Lester B. Pearson International (YYZ) starting October 24. The airline will fly on this route four times per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays deploying its Boeing 737 MAX 8 on the route.
Arajet recently launched a number of new routes like Santo Domingo-Sao Paulo starting September 21 with thrice weekly frequency. Santiago-Medellín starting July 17 and Santiago-Bogota.
The airline also submitted a request to US Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin flying to New York, Miami, and San Juan.
Speaking about the launch of new route, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, chief executive and founder, Arajet said: “Our new flight from Pearson International to Las Américas International in Santo Domingo will allow our Dominican diaspora to come home with the best possible fares but will also enable more Canadians traveling for tourism or business to visit our island and continue increasing the exchange between our two countries.
