André Wall, Iberia’s New Chief Technical Officer

André Wall has assumed his duties as Iberia’s new Chief Technical Officer, responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of the Iberia fleet as well as those of the more than 100 airline customers of Iberia Maintenance.

A graduate in Industrial Engineering from Berlin’s TFH Technical University, Wall has had a long career in the aviation and MRO industry.

He is a specialist in business transformation through the simplification of design and production processes, and in the development of innovative solutions. Wall has worked for companies such as SR Technics, where he was COO and later President and CEO; Jet Aviation; Rolls Royce Aero Engines and MTU, the German engine maintenance company.

Wall’s appointment as Chief Technical Officer strengthens Iberia’s management team and its international profile. Noteworthy amongst his aims are to further enhance competitiveness and technical innovation in Iberia Maintenance.

Iberia Maintenance inspects, repairs and overhauls the airframes, engines and parts of Iberia’s fleets and those of more than a hundred international airline customers. It is the world’s ninth-largest aircraft maintenance company and Spain’s largest in terms of income and staff, as well as in work volume, technology, and aircraft modification. In 2015, Iberia Maintenance carried out 385 major aircraft overhauls, along with nearly 29,000 line maintenance operations. In addition, it repaired some 50,500 parts, 161 engines, and 28 auxiliary power units (APUs).
