American Airlines has launched its newly configured 787-9 aircraft, featuring its new 'flagship suite' seats on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles.
This new 787 layout reduces the seat count from 285 to 244, allowing for additional premium seating. It features an upgraded premium economy and main cabin, including Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, and 4K entertainment screens across all cabins.
American currently has 30 787-9 aircraft on order and expects to receive eight during 2025.
