An American Airlines flight experienced a tire blowout upon landing at St. Vincent's Argyle International Airport on January 20, 2025, prompting the airport to close temporarily, local media reported.
The was operated by one of American’s 737 MAX 8 aircraft and originated in Miami. Firefighters responded to the incident, enabling passengers to be evacuated safely, according to the St. Vincent Times.
Disruption at the airport caused a number of flights to be diverted and caused a number of departures to be cancelled.
No injuries among passengers and crew were reported.
