Allegiant Air gears up for summer holiday season

Allegiant Air is all geared up for peak summer season as the country moves away from the dark pandemic clouds. The airline revealed its top five summer 2023 destinations across the United States namely Las Vegas Harry Reid International (LAS), Orlando-Sanford International (SFB), St. Pete-Clearwater-Tampa International (PIE), Punta Gorda International (PGD), and Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS).

According to data from Cirium, Allegiant Air is expected to operate 2,686 weekly flights in July 2023, recovering its pre-pandemic traffic levels.

Speaking on the airline operation to deal with huge traffic influx, Blake Kline, Director, Operations control centre, Allegiant said: “As people take vacations in droves, our teams at Allegiant have been preparing almost a year in advance since the tail end of last year’s summer season, ensuring we have the right resources in place for this operationally intense time of the year.”

The airline has deployed teams at headquarters in Summerlin, Nevada, monitoring every movement. This Operations Control Center (OCC) ensures that flight crews are prepared for a smooth and successful journey, the airline said in a statement.

Teams from dispatch, operations managers, crew services, maintenance control, planning, customer operations, and charter operations are grouped together from the OCC thereby maintaining and enhancing the airline’s operational reliability.
