Akasa Air will launch daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Phuket from September 20, marking the airline’s entry into Southeast Asia and adding its sixth international destination.
“We are thrilled to foray into Southeast Asia with the addition of Phuket to our global network,” said Praveen Iyer, co-founder and chief commercial officer. “India is entering a new era of outbound tourism powered by globally curious flyers.”
Akasa said the route is aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties between India and Thailand while meeting growing demand for affordable international leisure travel.
