Airways International has signed a contract with Croatia Control to deliver a TotalControl tower simulation solution for use by Croatian air traffic controllers.

The 270-degree tower simulator is described by Airways International as ‘one of the most realistic and flexible simulation platforms’ available, incorporating real-world tower graphics, terrain mapping data, photo-realistic 3D rendered models and Total Control’s proprietary TrueView technology.

The model to be installed in Croatia Control’s Zagreb facilities will include two controller positions, two pseudo pilot positions and an instructor position. 10 custom aerodromes simulating Croatian airports will also be included. Onsite installation will commence in early 2024 and the facility is expected to be operational by May.

“Airways International’s offer was selected as the best in an international public tender,” explained Croatia Control Director General Mario Kunovec-Varga, adding that they “look forward to this major technological advancement”.
