Airport operator ASUR records passenger traffic decline in June

Mexican airport operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), recorded 6 million passengers during June, representing a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same period of the year prior.

The company said it observed passenger traffic increasing 1.7% in Colombia, while it declined by 2.8% in Mexico and 3.3% in Puerto Rico.

Growth in Colombia was driven by a 13.3% increase in international traffic, which more than offset a 1.4% decline in domestic traffic. In Mexico, international traffic fell by 3.4% and domestic traffic by 2.1%. Puerto Rico reported a 9.2% increase in international traffic, but a 5.1% decrease in domestic traffic.
