Airport operator ASUR records second quarter results

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), recorded a 17.9% increase in total revenues during the second quarter of the year, reaching Ps.8,715.4 million ($465.3 million), excluding construction services, core revenues still displayed growth, rising 4.8% on 2024.

Consolidated operating profit for the three-month period rose to Ps.4,414 million ($235.7 million), representing a margin of 50.6%, compared to Ps.4,342.9 million ($231.9 million) and a margin of 58.7% during the second quarter of 2024.

Consolidated EBITDA rose 2.3% on the same period of the prior year to Ps.5,024.9 million ($268.3 million). However, the company's adjusted EBITDA margin declined to 67.6%, compared to 69.2% in the second quarter of 2024.

Following approval at the company’s annual shareholder meeting in April, ASUR distributed a Ps.80 ($4.27) per share cash dividend. The first tranche of Ps.50 ($2.67) was paid in May, with two Ps.15 ($0.80) extraordinary dividends scheduled to be paid in September and November of this year.
