AirJapan to enter commercial service from February 2024

Japanese start-up, AirJapan is all set to enter commercial services from February 2024 with flights connecting Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The airline will deploy B787-8 Dreamliner on the route with the cabin featuring 324 economy class seats with premium Japanese faux leather and various amenities like smartphone holders and charging ports.

Hideki Mineguchi, president, AirJapan, said: “It is the hope of the company that by launching AirJapan we can showcase the very best of Japan from inside the cabin to enhance their travel journey. We are excited and eagerly anticipate welcoming passengers onboard to experience the exceptional journey that AirJapan offers.”

According to ANA, the parent company of AirJapan, the startup is an entirely new brand for medium-haul international routes.
