Air France-KLM sign digital infrastructure deal with TCS

Indian IT services and consulting company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a multi-year deal to support Air France-KLM to become the world’s most data-driven airline group.

Building on a 30-year partnership with Air France-KLM, TCS has already contributed significantly to the airline’s reliability, social media outreach, customer service, and e-commerce. In this new phase, TCS will aim to support Air France-KLM in transitioning business data and critical systems to the cloud, spanning flight operations, passenger information, aircraft maintenance and e-commerce platforms. This cloud migration is set to boost operational efficiency, ensure secure data management, and modernise the airline’s technology landscape.

“In a rapidly evolving industry, we are committed to becoming a European leader in air transport while championing sustainable aviation,” said Pierre-Olivier Bandet, EVP and group CIO of Air France-KLM. “We are excited to deepen our partnership with TCS to leverage data and new technologies, making us more agile and data-centric to meet."

The airline group currently consists of a fleet of 551 aircraft serving 320 destinations across 100 countries.

Krishnan Ramanujam, president, consumer business group at TCS commented: “We are immensely proud of our 30-year collaboration with Air France-KLM, enhancing passenger experiences and setting industry benchmarks. We are excited to help Air France-KLM become the most data-driven airline globally, pushing the limits in customer experience, operational excellence, and sustainability for the future.”

TCS is set to deploy a team of over 100 employees across delivery centres in France, the Netherlands, and India.
