Airbus has supposedly delivered 70 aircraft during March, Reuters reported on April 1, 2025, citing industry sources.
This would mean that Airbus has increased its aircraft deliveries by 11% in comparison to March 2024. This will also be an increase from the 40 deliveries made by Airbus during February, and significantly up from the 25 made in January.
Speaking to Airline Economics, a spokesperson for Airbus said that the company could not comment on March deliveries but reaffirmed that the manufacturer is still guiding for the delivery of 820 units during 2025.
However, this will also mean that for the first quarter of the year Airbus would have made 135 aircraft deliveries, a drop in comparison to the year prior, when Airbus delivered 142 jets during the same period.
Airbus noted that deliveries in the first quarter of the year would be lower this year when compared to 2024, during its 2024 earnings call in February. “We start 2025, with a bit of a specific situation that we know first quarter will be lower than last year, particularly from CFM [supply],” said management on the call.
The company originally guided around 820 commercial aircraft deliveries for 2025 during its 2024 earnings call. Last year, it delivered 766 aircraft, four short of its 770 target. It had originally targeted 800 deliveries.
