Airbus reports it has overtaken Boeing in unadjusted aircraft orders for 2014 after last month's Farnborough Airshow, but continues to lag its US rival when taking into account cancellations.
Airbus won 980 aircraft orders between January and July, and 705 net orders; exceeding its net order target for the year.
Airbus also reported its total orders at Farnborough marked its best ever performance at the airshow.
Boeing reported 837 gross orders and 783 net sales after cancellations between January 1st and July 29th.
Airbus switched to a net order target for the year with its first-half results published last week, stating that net orders should exceed deliveries and that these should be around the same as the 626 deliveries seen in 2013.
Airbus also aid it had delivered 352 aircraft between January and July, including 16 A380s.
