Airbus has made two leadership changes in its commercial aircraft business, which will take effect on July 1, 2025.
The current president of Airbus India and South Asia Remi Maillard has been appointed executive vice president engineering of the commercial aircraft business. In this role, Maillard will also be head of technology for Airbus where he will lead and coordinate all research & technology activities across the company.
Maillard will be a member of the commercial aircraft leadership team and report to commercial aircraft CEO Christian Scherer.
He will replace Sabine Klauke, who is taking over a newly created role of head of digital design manufacturing and services (DDMS) ‘next gen’. She will be overseeing the development and implementation of this “critical enabler” across Airbus' divisions. Klauke will report to EVP digital Catherin Jestin.
Airbus said it will appoint the new president of Airbus India and South Asia — Maillard's successor — at a later date.
