Airbus delivers 72 aircraft in November

Airbus has delivered 72 aircraft to 42 customers in November 2025. The deliveries mark a decline from 78 in the previous month and from 84 in November last year.

So far this year, Airbus has delivered 657 aircraft. The European OEM recently cut its full-year 2025 delivery target to around 790 commercial jets, down from its initial projection of around 820.

As a result, the manufacturer will need to deliver around 133 jets in December to meet its target for the year. However, the closing of the year typically sees a delivery ramp-up from aircraft OEMs. Airbus delivered 123 aircraft in December 2024.

Airbus said the guidance cut was based on a "recent supplier quality issue on fuselage panels impacting its A320 family delivery”.

It was reported earlier this week by the BBC that Airbus would be inspecting an unspecified number of its aircraft as a result of the metal panel issue. Lufthansa said Airbus will be inspecting 11 of its aircraft, the report added.

Airbus delivered 766 jets in 2024, with its target for the year being around 770 aircraft. This target was cut during the summer of last year, down from 800 jets.

Late on Friday last week, Airbus completed an examination of an incident that took place in late October, when a JetBlue flight suffered a sudden altitude drop after a flight control issue, injuring at least 15 people.

The company revealed that intense solar radiation had prompted the incident, warning that it could corrupt data that is critical to the function of flight controls on its A320 family.

This prompted a scramble to implement a software update on certain A320 aircraft causing, disruption over the weekend.

Airbus said on Monday that the “vast majority” of recalled 6,000 A320 aircraft have been updated.

In today's orders and deliveries report, the company said it received gross 75 orders in November. The orders were bolstered by the Dubai Air Show held from November 15 through November 19.

The report also included undisclosed orders for 13 A320neo and seven A321neo jets on November 4.

On November 14, the company received an order for two A320neo and eight A350-1000s. Additionally, a private customer ordered one A320neo on November 17.
