Airbus delivered 51 aircraft in May, down 4% on the previous month.
It was reported earlier this week that Airbus had delivered around 51 aircraft, according to a report from Reuters, which cited industry sources.
These 51 aircraft were delivered to 32 customers, comprising five A220s, 40 A320 family aircraft, three A330-900neos, and three A350s. These planes were delivered to customers such as Wizz Air, Emirates, Avolon and Delta.
The planemaker said it had delivered 243 aircraft so far this year to 61 customers, down 5%.
Airbus reported no orders during the month.
The company is aiming for around 820 commercial aircraft deliveries this year, meaning it would have to deliver 577 aircraft for the remaining seven months of the year, equating to around 82 deliveries per month.
Airbus delivered 766 aircraft in 2024, meeting its target of around 770 deliveries. However, the company had initially targeted 800 aircraft but was lowered due to persistent supply chain issues. Airbus had closed 2024 with 123 aircraft deliveries in December.
Since January, the company has sold 291 aircraft or a net total of 215 after cancellations.
