Airbus completes hot and high flight test for A330-900neo
Airbus has successfully completed a hot and high flight test campaign at high-altitude airports in Toulca, Mexico and La Paz, Bolivia. Hot and high is a condition of low air density due to high ambient temperature and high airport elevation. ""This achievement marks a significant milestone for the A330neo, as it extends its operational envelope to airports up to 12,500ft in elevation, following certification approval expected in Q1 2025,"" said Airbus chief technology officer & EVP engineering commercial aircraft business Sabine Klauke on a LinkedIn post. The flight test completion will prove significant value to Airbus' airline customers that service routes with high-altitude operations, including those in Africa, the Americas, China, and Tibet.
