airBaltic showed a steady climb in passenger numbers in September 2022 as compared to last year. The airline shows a 45% year-on-year growth. The airline released its report for September 2022, which shows the number of passengers carried in September 2022 is 2,38,100 while in September 2021 figures show 2,32,900 passengers.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, said: “Although the average number of passengers carried in autumn tends to decrease, this year, we still observe positive trends, which consistently confirm the growing demand for our services.”
“Currently, we are living in a favorable situation, where the presence of the pandemic does not limit the possibilities to travel. Thus, airBaltic is ready for the upcoming winter season with an attractive list of leisure destinations by offering both sunny beaches and snowy mountains. At the same time, the core goal remains the same we continue to strengthen our position in the Baltic market,” Martin Gauss added.
In September 2022, airBaltic operated 3,420 flights which is almost by 15% more than in the September 2021 figure of 2,980.
