Boeing’s deliveries were up by 35 aircraft in August 2022, as deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner resumed after a 15-month delay. In August 2022, Boeing delivered 27 737MAXs, two 787s, and five freighters. That raised the total MAX deliveries this year to 240 jets and overall deliveries to 277 through August.
In August, Boeing delivered its first 787 since May 2019 to Lufthansa and a 787-10 to KLM. Moreover, the two 787s for American Airlines that were "contractually delivered" in August were not yet booked as delivered because Boeing is performing some pre-scheduled post-delivery customization.
Due to global supply chain problems, Boeing’s July deliveries had fallen to a five-month low of 26 planes.
Besides, Boeing’s shares trading 5% lower at $150.76 in afternoon trade, reflecting a selloff in the broader market after data showed monthly consumer prices unexpectedly rose in August.
Boeing's gross orders net of cancellations rose to 338 for the year.
