airBaltic reports 13% passenger growth in August

Latvian airline airBaltic reported 560,300 passengers in August 2024, marking a 13% uplift from the same month last year. Its number of flights were up 6%, no doubt driving the increase in passengers.

The company recorded a load factor of 89.8% for the month. It not only marks a 6.6 percentage point increase from August last year, but it is also the airline's highest load factor in its history.

"Throughout this summer, we have observed significant overall passenger growth with several record-breaking results and have continued to maintain strong operational performance with an increased number of flights," said airBaltic CEO and president Martin Gauss.
