AirAsia X has recorded a net profit of M$50.2 million ($16.9 million) for the first three months of 2013. This is an increase of 3.5% year on year from M$48.5 million.
Meanwhile, AirAsia X has confirmed that it intends to establish a second base in Bangkok as part of its expansion strategy and the filing a revised prospectus exposure with Malaysia's Securities Commission suggests that the carrier is nearing its long awaited initial public offering.
