AirAsia will relocate its domestic operations in April, moving from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLAA T2).
Since resuming operations from Subang Airport in August 2024, AirAsia said it has “closely assessed passenger trends and operational needs”, noting that KLIA T2 offers a better platform to enhance efficiency and service quality.
AirAsia stated that passenger volumes between Kuala Lumpur and destinations such as Kota Kinabalu and Kuching are increasing, rising 16% in comparison to last year. The airline said that consolidating operations at KLIA T2 will allow it to better accommodate a rise in traffic.
Domestic operations will commence from KILA T2 on April 7, 2025.
