Air Transat will begin operations of direct flights from Canada to Peru on December 22. The flights will be operated by an A321LR.
The flights will operate throughout the year, with two departures a week from Toronto and one departure a week from Montreal to Lima, Peru.
“This service is an excellent addition as it will provide passengers with a nonstop flight, saving more than 30% flying time compared to current itineraries offered,” said Greater Toronto Airports Authority executive director, customer experience, and airline relations Kurush Minocher.
“It is a great pleasure for Air Transat to bring this promising route to fruition and finally see our star fly over Peru,” said Transat chief revenue officer Michele Barre.
The inaugural flight from Toronto to Lima flew on December 20.
