Air ticket sales during May 2024 totalled $9bn for US travel agencies.
This figure shows a one percent decrease month on month from April, while passenger trips totalled 25.7 million, which included a ten percent increase in US domestic trips and a two percent increase in international trips.
""Total sales haven't been above $9 billion for three consecutive months since 2019. This is a sign of the continued strength for air travel in 2024,"" said Steve Solomon, chief commercial officer at ARC.
