AIR SERVICE LINKING NORTH AND SOUTH WALES TO REMAIN

The Welsh Assembly has approved increased annual subsidies of £1.2 million for the air service link between North and South Wales for another four years.

Manx2.com and partner FLM Aviation has renewed its current contract for the route.

The renewal of the subsidy has been criticised by the Welsh Liberal Democrat party as a waste of money in such austere economic times. However deputy first minister Ieuan Wyn Jones said service was “well used” and necessary and praised Manx2's record as "excellent so far".
