Air Serbia posts 27% increase in passenger numbers for January

Air Serbia posted continued passenger growth in January when it carried 168,856 passengers from Belgrade Airport, a 27% uplift on the same period 12 months earlier.

According to the firm this represents the best operational results for January since the carrier launch in 2013. Air Serbia also reported that load factor on Belgrade flights increased by 7 percentage points compared to January 2019.

“We are pleased…to have posted great results already in January which, when it comes to number of passengers, stands for a weaker month in air industry,” said Jiri Marek, general manager for commercial and strategy at Air Serbia.

This builds on a strong 2019 for the Balkan carrier which introduced 23, from two new airports in 2019
