Nigeria’s Air Peace became the first Nigerian Airline to launch and operate direct flights from Nigeria to Israel after receiving approval from Israeli government. The inaugural flight recently took off from Lagos Murtala Mohammed Airport with a stop-over in Abuja and headed for Tel Aviv.
Before the launch of this inaugural route, air travel between the two countries took 72 hours via other airlines, now with the travel time significantly less with only one stop in Nigeria, the airline hopes to see an increase in number of pilgrims visiting Israel, further boosting political, economic, and social ties between Nigeria and Israel.
Apart from the launch of this new international route, Air Peace has been ramping its international operations with twice-weekly services to Mumbai. The airline is also planning to add Delhi, London, China, Senegal, and The Gambia as new destinations.
