Air New Zealand has joined the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA).
AAPA is now made up of 18 member airlines including the likes of Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and Air India.
This comes just a few weeks after Qantas re-joined AAPA after 15-year hiatus.
Greg Foran, chief executive officer of Air New Zealand, said that by joining the association the flag-carrier can “share learnings” with regional counterparts, to ensure a thriving future for the Asia Pacific aviation industry.
Air New Zealand joins the association just days after terminating its seasonal service between Auckland and Seoul. The airline's final seasonal flight between the two cities will take place on March 29, 2025.
