Air New Zealand announces short-haul booking changes
Air New Zealand has announced changes to its short-haul booking system, effective from June, including a new range of options for customers travelling between New Zealand and the Tasman or Pacific Islands. Seven fare types are available in the new tiered system, including ‘seat’, ‘theworks’, premium and business options. New flexibility fares allow customers to ‘have peace of mind while travelling with a fully flexible and refundable fare option’ notes the national carrier. “We’re really excited to make these a reality for those jumping onboard for short haul international travel and we can’t wait to see them introduced in June,” explained Air New Zealand general manager short haul Jeremy O’Brien. All customers will now have access to the full inflight entertainment offering, snack or a meal, and soft drinks. However, the seat plus bag product will be discontinued, as will the sale of inflight snacks on board, with all transactions to take place inflight using card payments only.
