Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has delivered the first new A220-300 aircraft to Croatia Airlines. It is the first A220 to join the airline's fleet and the first of six confirmed to be delivered to the airline from ALC's orderbook with Airbus.
Steven F. Udvar Hazy, executive chairman for ALC, said the new aircraft will ""support Croatia's major fleet modernisation programme"".
""Croatia Airlines' fleet modernisation program is expected to deliver not only a new and improved standard of passenger comfort and experience, but also significant financial and environment benefits due to lower fuel consumption, reduced noise and lower emissions with the most modern, technologically advanced aircraft available,"" said ALC executive vice president David Beker.
The airline will renew its entire fleet. It is expected to receive 15 new A220 aircraft in total. It said in June it expects its second A220 to arrive by the end of 2024, followed by six in 2025, four in 2026, and three in 2027.
