Air India reported a 30.4% increase in revenue in January compared to the same period last year. International revenue rose by 27.2%, while domestic revenue was up by 36.6% during the month.
"Our domestic capacity in terms of available seats per kilometre increased 16.3 percent, whereas in the overall network, it remained static. The number of passengers carried increased 11.5 percent on international routes and 18.1 percent on domestic routes thereby helping the passenger load factor to a 5.4 percent increase over the entire network," the airline said.
The yields on international routes rose 18.8% and 16.9% on domestic services and on the network by 19.3%. The numbers are in line with the figures projected in the airline’s turnaround plan.
