Air China has reported a 5% drop in passenger numbers during February, when compared to the same period of the year prior.
The airline carried a total of 12.5 million passengers across the month, with 10.8 million travelling on domestic routes and 1.3 million travelling on international services.
International passenger numbers were up 15.7% in comparison to February 2024, despite domestic services seeing a 7.2% decline in passenger numbers.
Capacity was also up on international routes during the month, increasing by 17.1%. Capacity on domestic routes saw a decline of 8.2%.
International RPKs were up 12.1% and domestic RPKs were down 7.1%.
Additionally, Air China’s average passenger load factor was down marginally by 0.5% during the month.
