Air China's passenger traffic increased 8.5% in January 2025, carrying 13.1 million passengers.
The airline's international routes had the largest passenger growth, which increased 48.3% compared to January 2024, to 1.6 million passengers carried. Domestic passengers were up 4.2% to 11.1 million.
Capacity increased 10%, while revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) were up 12.1%.
International capacity was up 31.5% and domestic capacity was up 2.4%. International RPKs were up 37.9% and domestic RPKs were up 4%.
Passenger load factor was 79.1%, increasing 1.5 percentage point. Domestic load factor was up one percentage point to 80.1% and international load factor was up 3.4 percentage point to 77.2%. Cargo load factor was down 1.6 percentage point.
In January 2025, the company received four 737 aircraft. As of the end of January 2025, the group operated a fleet of 934 aircraft — 408 owned, 230 under finance lease, and 296 under operating lease.
