Air Canada resumed services between Ottawa and London Heathrow on March 31, 2025, following a five-year hiatus.
The Canadian flag-carrier said in August of last year that services between the two capital cities would resume, following the five-year break. This route suspension was triggered in response to low demand, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Air Canada will use its 787 fleet to serve the new route, operating four weekly services until October 25, 2025.
In 2019, the airline originally announced plans to launch a year-round service between Ottawa and London, which would commence in March 2020. The airline intended to deploy its 787-8 on the route then, replacing its 767-300ER aircraft which operated this route.
This is the only service to link Ottawa with London.
