Air Canada will resume operations between Canada and Israel from June 8, 2025.
The airline will initially commence four flights a week from Toronto to Tel Aviv. Starting in August, there will be an additional weekly flight from Montreal.
Air Canada said that it has a “longstanding commitment” to the Canada-Israel market and “looks forward” to the resumption services between the two countries.
In preparation, Air Canada said it has undertaken extensive safety and security reviews, including consultations with Canadian and foreign government authorities, unions representing its flight crews, and security experts. It has also consulted with other major international airlines that are resuming or expanding service to the region.
At the beginning of February, United Airlines became the first North American carrier to announce plans to restart operations to Israel. United will restart operations to the country on March 15, 2025, after an almost eight-month hiatus.
Many airlines have resumed operations to Israel over the past month, after a ceasefire agreement was established on January 19, 2025, between Israel and Hamas.
Air Canada said it continues to closely monitor the situation in the region.
