Air Canada has announced that its direct flights from London Heathrow to Ottawa will continue through winter 2025-26, offering year-round connectivity between the UK's largest airport and Canada's capital city.
In addition to the London Heathrow route, Air Canada will operate over 450 weekly flights to and from Ottawa this winter.
Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s minister of international trade, said the airline’s expanded network will also strengthen Canada’s import and export industries, given that most Canadian cargo is transported by passenger plane.
“The extension of the London – Ottawa service will give Canadian businesses faster and more reliable access to the UK and Europe, supporting our exporters, driving investment and creating good jobs here at home,” he said.
“Stronger connectivity in the skies means stronger growth on the ground, and ensures that Canada remains a leader in the global economy.”
