Air Canada will debut its first A321XLR aircraft on its Montreal to Palma de Mallorca route. Delivery of the first XLR fleet begins in the first quarter of 2026. The airline will then inaugurate the service to the Spanish island in June 2026.
“This revolutionary narrowbody aircraft unlocks new, exciting global opportunities with its widebody range and enhanced onboard product,” said Air Canada EVP and chief commercial officer and president, cargo Mark Galardo.
The A321XLR is the first narrowbody in the airline's fleet to feature lie-flat seats in its business class cabin.
Galardo added: “By leveraging the unique capabilities of the A321XLR, Air Canada becomes the first Canadian airline to offer flights to this Spanish island, renowned for its stunning beaches, history and culture.”
