Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) is to support Australian low-cost carrier Bonza’s 737 MAX 8 fleet via a component support agreement.
The support defined by AFI KLM E&M includes repair services, pool access and the provision of a main base kit, as well as logistical and aircraft on ground support for airframe and Leap-1B engine LRUs. It will be managed and delivered from AFI KLM E&M’s logistics and distribution centres in Amsterdam, Miami and Kuala Lumpur.
“For a growing airline like ours that currently has a smaller fleet, we need to ensure that all our aircraft are operational,” explained Tim Jordan, CEO of Bonza. “AFI KLM E&M’s equipment solutions, including the pool access program, are a response to this requirement”
Bonza currently serves three bases and 38 routes to 21 destinations ‘with a focus on the unserved and underserved markets’ across Australia.
