AFI KLM E&M enter partnership with LOT to support LEAP-1B engines

Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has entered a new partnership with LOT Polish Airlines for the support of its LEAP-1B engines.

This addition of LEAP-1B Quick Turn support, provided by AFI KLM E&M, marks an expansion of an already lengthy partnership between the two companies. For several years, AFI KLM E&M has supplied component support for LOT's Boeing 787 and 737 fleets, and the new agreement reinforces the partnership in maintaining LOT's modern fleet.

“The collaboration with LOT Polish Airlines underscores our dedication to providing advanced MRO solutions, including comprehensive LEAP services, that empower airlines to operate at their best,” said Ton Dortmans, executive vice-president KLM Engineering & Maintenance.  “We are excited to contribute to LOT Polish Airlines fleet renewal strategy and enhance their operational capabilities.”

In 2022, AFI KLM E&M became part of the LEAP network by signing a CBSA license agreement for LEAP 1A and LEAP 1B.

Krzysztof Krolak, CAMO Director at LOT Polish Airline commented: “This engine plays an important role in our ambition to reduce our environmental impact and we’re confident that AFI KLM E&M has the knowledge and experience to maintain it to the highest standards.”

Up until today more than 70 “Quick Turns” have been performed in its engine shops in Amsterdam and Paris.
