New data for January reveals that Aeromexico was the most punctual global airline, during the month, achieving an on-time performance (OTP) of 89.2%.
According to Cirium, Iberia secured second place with a solid 85.82% OTP, closely followed by Qatar Airways, which recorded 85.54%.
In addition to airline performance, Cirium spotlighted Honolulu as the world's most punctual large airport, defined as an airport with 25-40 million annual seats. Mexico City and Sao Paulo’s Congonhas airports rounded out the top three, taking second and third place respectively among large airports.
Globally, North America experienced the most cancellations out of any global region, with over 20,000 services cancelled.
