Aeroflot will add a new route to Adana, Türkiye, increasing the airline’s flights to the country
The route will connect Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) to Adana (ADA) and is scheduled to start on June 8, 2023. The airline will deploy its Airbus A320 aircraft on the service.
Flights will be on a three-times-a-week basis, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The city of Adana is in eastern Türkiye and is a popular destination for business and leisure travellers with various industries being present and historical hotspots.
The city has existing links with Russia. It is twinned with the city of Saint Petersburg. However, it has previously lacked direct flight connections between the two countries.
With the addition of Adana, the airline now serves six destinations in Türkiye from the Russian capital. Aeroflot now operates from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Istanbul, Bodrum, Dalaman, Antalya, Izmir and soon Adana, all in the summer season.
The airline has also announced regular flights to the popular tourist destinations of Dalaman and Izmir in the western part of Türkiye.
The airline resumed direct flights to Dalaman from April 6, with the network now offering daily services between Moscow and the Riviera airport.
From May 27, the airline will start four-weekly services to Izmir. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The airline plans to deploy its Boeing 737 on the route.
