Aeroflot forced to cancel flights due to Russia-Czech Republic dispute

Russia's Aeroflot will now operate all flights on the route from Moscow to Prague, Czech Republic.

This has been confirmed following the decision by the aviation authorities of the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic to temporarily resume flights between the two countries.

However, flights for the route on July 2 had to be cancelled due to a dispute over trans-Siberian rights, in a decision made by the Czech Republic’s aviation authorities to revoke earlier issued permits.

Although Aeroflot had technical capacity to operate flights, the Czech aviation authorities decided to annul flight permits.

Aeroflot has stated that it will closely monitor the situation. All affected passengers will be informed via Aeroflot’s contact center.  Information on all updates will be published on the airline’s website and its official social media accounts.
