Aero Dili receives its first A320 on lease from DAE Capital

Aero Dili recently welcomed its first Airbus A320 on a two-year lease from DAE Capital. The airline plans to start international services soon by offering direct flights to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport. The A320 is 14-year-old and previous flew for Bangkok Airways.

The aircraft was retired from its fleet in 2022. The aircraft underwent a revamp in Jakarta with a new Aero Dili livery.

The aircraft has been reconfigured to carry 165 passengers.

Aero Dili received its certificate of registration (COR) and certificate of airworthiness (COA) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Timor-Leste (AACTL) around March 2023.

So far, the airline has carried out its international operations by wet leasing aircraft from Indonesia’s AirAsia and Sriwijaya Air. With its own A320 the airline hopes to ramp its domestic as well as international services.

The addition of its A320 takes the Aero Dili fleet to three along with Cessna 207 and Cessna 172. The airline currently operates on domestic routes to Suai Airport (UAI), Oecusse Airport (OEC), and Baucau Airport (BCH).
