Aergo acquires one A320 from SMBC

Aergo has acquired one A320-200 aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital acting as a servicer, with the aircraft currently on lease to Iberia.

“We are happy to announce the acquisition of this Airbus A320-200 aircraft, on lease to Iberia, which SMBC Aviation Capital managed, “said Fred Browne, chief executive officer at Aergo. 

“We would like to extend our gratitude to the SMBC Aviation Capital team for their diligence and collaboration in getting this deal over the line.”      

Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP acted as lead counsel to Aergo on the transaction, while Investec Bank acted as the sole lender on this transaction.    

Mike Littleton, head of aircraft trading at SMBC Aviation Capital, commented: “We are pleased to confirm the sale of one Airbus A320-200 aircraft, which is managed by SMBC Aviation Capital, to Aergo. This transaction further strengthens the relationship between SMBC Aviation Capital and Aergo.”       

Aergo currently has a portfolio of 96 owned aircraft, with assets across 39 countries.
