AerCap has signed a sale and leaseback agreement for one 787-9 aircraft with TAAG Angola Airlines.
The Dublin-based lessor is the first to deliver the aircraft type to the airline. Integrating the 787 to TAAG's fleet is a part of its ongoing fleet modernisation.
Aengus Kelly, CEO of AerCap commented: “The 787 will enable TAAG expand their network across Africa, Europe and Asia with one of the most fuel-efficient widebody aircraft on the market and support them in meeting customer demand. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the TAAG team.”
This aircraft is expected to be delivered to the Angolan flag carrier in February 2025.
