Dublin-based lessor AerCap raised of $3 billion including $2.5 billion in the form of unsecured bonds, according to a trading update issued by the firm today.
In addition to the capital raising, AerCap also acquired two new Airbus A320neo aircraft and completed sale transactions of nine owned aircraft, comprising three Airbus A320 Family aircraft, five Boeing 737NGs and one Boeing 757.
The firm also signed lease agreements for 10 aircraft, including one widebody aircraft and nine narrowbody aircraft. AerCap now serves about 200 customers in 80 countries.
