During 2024, Dublin-based lessor AerCap signed 496 lease agreements, completed 150 purchases and 186 sale transactions, totalling $17.5 billion.
Through the year, the lessor repurchased 16.8 million shares at an average price of $87.80 per share. These shares totalled $1.5 billion.
Looking at the fourth quarter of the year, AerCap signed 92 lease agreements, totalling $1.8 billion. This includes 14 widebody aircraft, 14 narrowbody aircraft, 33 engines and 31 helicopters. Additionally, 41 aircraft purchases were completed. This comprised of 27 aircraft, 10 engines - for AerCap's owned engine portfolio - and 4 helicopters.
AerCap completed 55 sale transactions during the fourth quarter, comprising of 26 aircraft from its owned aircraft portfolio and 6 aircraft from its managed aircraft portfolio. Transactions also included the sale of 25 engines including 16 engines from AerCap's owned engine portfolio and 9 engines from AerCap's managed engine portfolio and 4 helicopters.
During the quarter, the company repurchased approximately 3.1 million shares, at an average price of $94.74 per share, for a total of approximately $297 million. AerCap paid quarterly cash dividend on ordinary shares of $0.25 per share.
