AerCap has leased, purchased, sold 246 assets in the second quarter of 2024, it revealed in its operational report on July 8, 2024.
The aviation leasing company said it signed 162 lease agreements in the period, including six widebodies, 88 narrowbodies, 47 engines, and 21 helicopters.
In addition, it completed 47 purchases comprising of 25 aircraft (15 of which were the A320neo family aircraft), 20 engines and two helicopters.
It completed 37 sale transactions for 29 aircraft, seven engines and one helicopter.
During the financial period, it also repurchased approximately 3.9 million shares at an average price of $88.66 per share for an approximate total of $345 million. It had also paid its first quarterly cash dividend on ordinary shares of $0.25 per share, as well as signed financing transactions for around $3.6bn.
AerCap will publish its full second quarter earnings report on August 1, 2024.
